A Jasmine need not be a rose

Imagine a husband serving day and night his wife who is though in sense but is on wheelchair and unable to speak or do anything. The husband takes care of all medical care solely, serves tea and food to her on time. But the cruel destiny appears when all his service comes to a naught and the wife is on a recovery path after many years. The moment she is recovered the first act she does is to seek divorce from his caring husband and go to her ex-boyfriend. Is not she a cruel vampire? Not so much if you go deep in the story.
Does extreme care, service and dedication to a fully handicapped wife for seven years make you entitled to make her your dream girl? Ironically here the reason of handicap also is almost aligned to this theme. The wife had another dream boy before the marriage and it is when she when her boyfriend departed from her after the marriage she took this suicidal step and met with the extreme accident.
The husband seems to be a big fan of Madhuri Dixit and wants to see a Madhuri Dixit in his wife. The scenes of hallucinations about Madhuri Dixit has been enacted so impressively.
The writer has wisely put the main character of the play in vegetative state till the interval. You are taken straight to the epitome of the unbound love and the faultless loyalty of the husband for his wife. But in the process you are also let exposed to the husband's expectations from his wife which seems to be quite benign but are not. And while you approach the fag end of the play you are numbed to learn that all dedication and service to a totally handicapped wife comes to a naught. When she recovers she is not happy with her husband at all and surprisingly her anger is quite justified. How go to the theatre and learn a lot about husband-wife relationship. I have already mentioned the noticeable delivery of hallucinations by the main actor. Even the counter-hallucinations of the wife also have been challenging and she took it successfully.
The artists were Riddhi Nayak Shukla, Harshad Patel, Vyas Hemang and Neha Pakai. Director was Swapnil Baraskar and it was written by Umesh Shukla. The acting of the actors was faultless and the wheelchaired wife really impressed with her body language and force in dialogue delivery.
Towards the end the play seems like a Psychology seminar but yea it is essentially aligned to the main theme. You get a little bit more enlightened after watching it.
