There are some children who never get a chance to live a life out of their confines. They think that adversity is the only way of living to every human being. Here is a hutment at the outskirts of a town where a beautiful young woman Fiza lives behind the reeds. She is fully in the grip of an old woman whom she thinks as her mother though she is not. The old woman runs her house like a brothel where the Fiza entertains the clients. As this house is almost hidden from the sight of others so the clients are limited but frequent. The profiles of the clients are variant, someone is civilised, the other is not. Someone is drunkard, other is very rich. But the beautiful young woman enjoys the company of her clients and thinks that she is living a normal life. In fact she is totally unaware of the fact what a normal life is and so is under the impression that the way she lives is the only way to live. She is a graceful charming girl and very innocent. Every client is treated with utmost care and she gives personal attention to each of them so that everyone reaches the highest level of bliss.
One day, a new client Rashid Khan comes to her house and after enjoying the night with the damsel he falls in love with her so before leaving the house, he gives enough money to the old woman and suggests that no other men should come near this young woman.
Now the young woman also cherishes her special and true love for Rashid.
After many days, the Rashid Khan returns with another charming woman Shahina who introduces herself falsely as a sister of him. Shahina proclaims that she would adorn Fiza. She really does so but in the process she commits a dastardly act of killing the innocent Fiza and cuts out some soft parts of her body for cooking food.
When Rashid comes to know this he in a fit of rage and kills Shahina. Actually, Shahina did love the Rashid so much that she could not tolerate the other woman in her life.
The actors were Puja Gupa (Fiza), Renu Sinha (Old woman), Raas Raaz (Rashid Khan), Puja Bhaskar (Shahina), Sanjiv Kumar (Fauzi), Jay Rathor (Aftab), Harsh Raj (Gulshan), Kamlesh Vanavasi (Aslam). The original story of Sadaat Hasan Manto "Sarkandon ke piche" was adapted into a play script by Raas Raaz who was also the Director of the play. Vinay Kumar was behind the lights and Swapnil Raj provided the music to this show.
All the actors did justice to their work but Kamlesh Vanvasi left a lasting impression to the viewers in the role of a drunkard. Puja Gupta (Fiza) left the audience spellbound with her dance along with alluring and graceful demeanor. But one of the male actors in initial part of the play was seen with a slower pace of dialogue delivery than required. Moreover the end of the play has been slightly changed by the scriptwriter which should not have been done because it changed the nature of the play. Manto wanted to stress on the injustice meted out to Fiza (as named in this show) because of her poor and destitute destiny. And the impression of injustice had been more striking if in the end Shahina is alive and with her partner Rashid Khan as written by Manto. Anyway, the acting and direction of Raas Raaz outshined all of this. Puja Bhaskar as Shahina also successfully did realistic acting. Renu Sinha acted maturely as required in the role of an old woman. Jay Rathor, Harsh Raj and Gulshan did good acting barring what has been mentioned above.
